I grew up in a family that owned a construction company. Working odd jobs with my dad at construction sites helped me to understand the bones of a home.  It also helped me to comprehend all of the choices and decisions that must be made to complete a house.

After I was married, my husband and I moved into a small “fixer upper”, which turned out to be a total renovation.  I found restoring and refinishing to be a labor of love.  I’ve also overseen the construction of two of our own homes, which to me were thrilling endeavors.

My educational background includes certification through Scheffield School of Interior Design based out of New York City .  I’m also a graduate of the Wood Technics program at Fox Valley Technical College .  This program furthered my understanding of furniture construction, restoration and finishing techniques.

My experiences also include numerous decorating jobs for individual clients.  Meeting with the client to understand their desires and tastes is where it begins.  Drawing the floor plan and selecting furniture, window treatments and accessories are next.  The presentation to the client is always exciting and upon approval of the plans, work begins on the room.
